David A. Kirkman, MD

Dr. Kirkman is our Arizona native! After he graduated from medical school at the University of Arizona, he completed his residency in Phoenix in 1991. He then joined a practice in the San Diego, California, area and stayed in the warm weather for 13 years. Dr. Kirkman has been in Utah since 2004.

Dr. Kirkman has been OB/GYN board-certified since 1993 and specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. This includes laparoscopic hysterectomy, operative hysteroscopy, and in-office tubal occlusions and endometrial ablations. He is also involved in improving healthcare in Cache Valley and once served as Chief of Staff for Logan Regional Hospital. Dr. Kirkman has been on the Board of Directors for Logan Hospital since 2008.

He enjoys delivering babies and finds a lot of satisfaction helping women through their pregnancies, whether uncomplicated or high-risk. He also specializes in menopause management. Dr. Kirkman is dedicated to improving health care in Cache Valley and is pleased with the opportunity to care for his patients.

Dr. Kirkman married his high-school sweetheart and best friend, Holli. Together they have an ever-growing family of five children, five grandchildren, one Goldendoodle, and a pond full of fish. While not practicing medicine, he loves to hike, boat, golf, and watch movies.

I love love love this clinic! My doctor is Dr. Kirkman and I can’t say enough kind words about how awesome, kind, and respectful he is! His care for me during my pregnancy was wonderful and my delivery was perfect. We are moving away after my husband graduates in May, and I am so sad to not have Dr. Kirkman as my doctor anymore. But I’m so grateful to him for bringing my daughter safely into the world and I will always remember him fondly! This clinic is so beautifully decorated and homey feeling and everyone is so kind and welcoming. I will miss this place so much!

Dr. Kirkman is the best doctor I have ever had! He recently delivered my baby and made the delivery 100% uncomplicated. He truly cares about his patients and takes the time to answer every question at every appointment. I couldn’t recommend him more!

So grateful for Dr. Kirkman! He truly is the best doctor and most amazing person! So down to earth and patient. I remember having my first baby and I was a nervous wreck. As soon as he walked in he brought a sense of calmness and peace and I felt assured everything would be okay (and it was). Grateful he delivered all three of my babies!

Dr. Kirkman is the absolute best! We have had three babies with him and at each appointment, he never seemed rushed at all. He took the time to listen to us and address all our concerns. Sometimes it took a little longer to get back to a room, but it’s understandable in a busy medical office. I was never upset, because it was worth the wait for the great care we received. We lost a baby a few days after birth and we were down at the U of U and Dr Kirkman himself called me to see how I was. Great atmosphere and such kind great people. We have never had a bad experience of any kind there!

Dr. Kirkman was amazing throughout my whole pregnancy. Anytime I had a concern or something came up he would listen and go above and beyond what I would ever expect from an OBGYN. After I delivered, he still checked up on me and provided me with the best possible care. I would never go to anyone else. I highly recommend him to anyone!!

Love the entire staff, but a big shout out to Dr. Kirkman and Dr. Wade. I’ve had 2 pregnancy losses and a healthy baby boy, all with seeing Kirkman. His bedside manner is impeccable. He is very calming and has a way of explaining that makes it plain and simple to understand. I feel like they are part of my family and they hold a special place in my heart. Can’t go wrong going here!

The Cache Valley Women’s Center remains committed to providing high-quality and compassionate care while ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients and staff. As our knowledge of COVID-19 grows, we look at everything we can do to keep our communities healthy. This requires frequent updating and revising of our policies.

Patients are allowed to bring ONE person to ALL visits.

  • This person needs to be over the age of 18 or a newborn baby in a carrier.
  • Please make arrangements before your appointment (this includes walk in visits for any blood work being done) for your children who are under 18.

Although masks are no longer required, they are still encouraged during your visit—especially for those who have not received the COVID-19 vaccine.

For the safety of our patients and staff, we ask that anyone experiencing flu like symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, loss of sense of taste or smell, or muscle aches and pains to please call and reschedule your appointment. For those who have tested positive for Covid-19, please reschedule your appointment 14 days out from your first day of symptoms. If you still have symptoms at that time, you will be asked to wear a mask to your appointment, regardless of vaccination status.

We are continuing to follow social distancing guidelines. If our waiting room exceeds the amount we feel comfortable with at any time, you may be asked to wait in your car and we will text or call you when we have a room ready for you. Thank you for being so patient and understanding with our many changes in policies. Our main concern is always the safety of our patients and staff and we will do our best to keep everyone healthy, happy, and comfortable while in our office.

We will continue to exercise caution and encourage best practices for the safety of our patients and staff. There will be hand sanitizer readily available in all areas and frequent and proper hand washing. We will also continue to clean and sanitize our waiting room, exam rooms, checkout area, and other patient care areas. Essential PPE and masks will still be available for our patients upon request.

Please do not hesitate to call our office at (435) 753-9999 with any additional questions or concerns. We truly appreciate you and your patience with us during this time.
